ACC is proud to announce our partnership with SKU‘s DFW track!
SKU was founded in 2011 by lawyer Shari Wynne Ressler and serial entrepreneur Clayton Christopher, founder of Sweet Leaf Tea and Deep Eddy Vodka, with the mission of accelerating #CPGs. It has been a catalyst in establishing Austin as a CPG powerhouse. SKU is the nation’s first CPG accelerator, with such alumni as Siete Family Foods, EPIC Provisions and Seaweed Bath Co. Since it was founded, more than 60 companies have completed the SKU track – A 2016 Forbes magazine column called SKU one of the nation’s top three accelerators.
As part of its new MAVS 100 program, the University of Texas at Arlington recently recognized the 100 fastest-growing Maverick businesses, highlighting the success stories in UTA entrepreneurship. We were excited to be at the MAVS 100 event, and even more excited that we had two companies in the top 20! Harris Packaging ranked #17 and American Carton ranked #19.
The resulting event revealed the top 30 businesses, ranked by average revenue from their last three years. These companies have great impact on North Texas and beyond; the top 30 firms alone represent over $680 million in annual revenue.
On a brisk Saturday morning in January, employees from ACC and HPC joined together at the Mansfield Run with Heart 2020 event. With American Carton Company as an annual sponsor, both ACC and HPC encourage health awareness and exercise.
Proceeds from the race will go toward helping support cardiology services at the Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, where the event is held, as well as sustaining our Heart of the Community Program, which helps improve the cardiovascular health of the communities we serve through heart disease education, prevention and encouraging a heart-healthy lifestyle. A portion will also go to the Tarrant County American Heart Association.
Join us next year for a great run! Choose from a chip-timed half marathon and 5k run, or one mile fun run/walk.
It’s always a win-win when you have a close vendor-customer relationship. SuckleBusters has been a long time customer of HPC and ACC. Not only is their product line delicious, but it looks great sporting our folding carton and corrugated boxes.
Certified and ready to deliver! Nothing means more to us than maintaining consistent quality standards throughout our manufacturing processes. ACC transitions into SQF edition 8 certification with another perfect 100 rating on its food safety audit, making the 5th year of obtaining this rating level!
What does a SQF certification do for you?
The SQF program we implemented has been designed to meet the needs of suppliers, the food industry, and consumers. These standards are compliant with the regulations enforced by the FDA. This certification offers a solution for primary producers, manufacturers, distributors, and brokers by creating one standard for food safety from farm to fork. Your customers are our customers and we make the continuous effort to offer them safe folding cartons. Follow us on LinkedIn to get the latest and greatest on the ACC team.
ACC has completed another ISO certification audit with ZERO non-conformities! This marks the 6th consecutive year with perfect ISO audits. The audit successfully transitioned ACC to ISO 9001 2015 certification. ACC is proud to uphold consistent high-quality packaging standards for our partners. Today, as I relax with my family, I am reminiscing and thankful for a blessed 2016. This year, we experienced a record sales year and were able to welcome some new employees to our team. We added two new pieces of equipment, launched our new website and online tools for our customers… And to top it all off, we achieved perfect scores on our ISO and SQF audits for the 4th year in a row! What a great year. Way to go, team!
Now, we ring in a new year by celebrating our 25th anniversary. We look forward to working hard together to continue toward our goals for 2017. Happy new year! All the members of our family at American Carton Company wish you peace, love, and prosperity in the coming year.
At American Carton Company, we put a lot of time and effort into maintaining industry-specific certifications. The one I am most proud of is the SHARP award. This is a recognition program that OSHA has for plants who provide safe and healthy working environments. It takes a team effort from all employees who look out for one another to achieve this. Our goal is to make sure we all go home at the end of the day safe and sound. Way to go, ACC family, for making this happen another year.
